Fast forward to this purchase and why I’ll never buy another 3M shield. This mask is a few dollars more, but the features, sight window, and ultimate protection for your face are excellent. I use the mask for a grinder, and it is nice with the adjustable head size and turn wheel to tighten up. It’s comfortable and covers your entire face. I’m very happy with it!

While mowing prior to my purchase of this item, a pine needle got behind my glasses and scratched my eye. I bought this to wear while mowing. It adjusted easily to my head. I ride with it tipped up when not near branches, etc. I then simply flip it down to go through trees, etc. Works great! I suggest you not risk your eyes while mowing. I had a painful corneal abrasion that became infected. Thank goodness it healed.

This is a fine mask if you need full-face protection from something like an angle grinder discharge. It’s as comfortable as a full-face mask can be. I purchased the anti-fog version, and it’s never fogged up.

This is a great product. It fits easily, is fully adjustable, and was not expensive. I did, however, buy replacement plastic visors for it because you cannot clean it of gunk thrown up by a lathe (oil, finishes, etc.) without scratching the plastic. You have a choice, though: your eyes or the mask, and I chose not to sacrifice my eyes.

I do wood turning and bought this to replace the shield I was using. This is comfortable with a padded headband, stays up when flipped up, and allows a huge field of view. It’s not a high-end shield, but for the money, it can’t be beat.

There does seem to be a little fogging around your mouth when it’s really cold outside. Otherwise, it is very clear, and peripheral vision is really good. Sometimes you don’t realize you are looking through the visor.

The grinding hood is very good quality, very adjustable, and very light. It really is a great and well-fitting hood, and the anti-fog lens is nice.

Gives a very clear and expansive view of your work with full face protection. The only downside is that, by the nature of the shield, you can’t really use over-the-ear hearing protection, so I have to use in-ear plugs.

The anti-fog did work well. I left it in my cold garage and then tried using it. So now I just keep it inside the house and bring it with me when I head out to do some wood turning. I do get some condensation running down if I have been wearing it for a while, but I am wearing it in below-freezing temps, so that is to be expected, I suppose.
I also love that it covers the front of my neck. I have way fewer wood chips going down the inside of my shirt or jacket.
All in all, I would buy it again.

This is a well-constructed piece of safety equipment. The headband is easily adjustable, and the shield itself has a solid mechanism that holds it up and out of the way when open. There is plenty of room for glasses and a face mask or respirator. The plastic shield is very clear, has not fogged up at all, and so far has remained static-free and not attracted the zillion dust particles floating around the shop.

I’m not one to readily wear eye protection. My wife purchased this for me, and I initially reluctantly wore it and found out that I absolutely love it. I’m a converted eye and face protection wearer now. The headband is comfortable and fully adjustable to my fairly large head size. The full-face shield without glasses pinching my nose or pulling on my ears is a free feeling. The large lens is easy to clean. I love it.
