I started out with some of the compression sleeves that were supposed to be for welding, and they sucked. I bought these to replace them, and what can I say? I look a little goofy wearing them, but they work darn well. No more arm burn.

I’m 6’3″ and 230 lbs, and these welding sleeves fit well (x-large sleeves). Some said they’re not for a big person, so either I lucked up on a set or they have long arms or are expecting shoulder-length fitment. Being lighter and more flexible does mean they’ll slide down your arm even with the built-in pull strap, so I might install a leather snap button or a leather pull knot string or lace if it starts to slide more often. I mainly wear them laying and welding under big delivery trucks, and they divert splatter pretty decently. As long as you don’t weld on your arm or “allow splatter to enter the sleeve top”, they’ll work great for the money (mine have maybe 6–8 welding hours of use on them). I don’t weld all day and just get the occasional once-a-week exhaust job or need to weld on a repair job. An all-day welder might need a backup pair or a better pair for long-term welding.

So far, I have only put a few hours of use on these, but they are holding up well, and they do work to help keep your arm safe from sparks, UV light, burns, et cetera. They fit well, but they do get a bit snug when I bend my arm all the way inward. I would recommend them.

As a female welder, I struggle finding stuff that fits my thin body. These work well if you have thinner or smaller arms. The only thing I don’t like is that the sleeve falls down my arm every once in a while, making me tighten the strap, and the Velcro comes undone kind of easily.
